Description

MCC panel or Motor Control Center is an assembly of one or more enclosed sections consisting of a common power bus and mainly used to control, protect and distribute power to electric motors.

The panel typically includes one or more motor starters, which contain overload protection, contactors or soft starters, and other control devices like pushbuttons, indicator lights, relays, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) if required.

MCC panels can be custom-built to meet specific industrial and commercial needs, such as power distribution, conveyor systems, pumps, fans, compressors, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) equipment. The panels can be designed for indoor or outdoor use and are available in various sizes, configurations, and voltages, from low to high voltage.

MCC panels provide an organized and centralized way of controlling and monitoring motor operation, reducing maintenance and downtime, improving energy efficiency, and enhancing worker safety. They are widely used in industries such as manufacturing, mining, oil and gas, water treatment, and transportation.

Top manufacturers of motor control center panels are EATON, SAFVOLT, Johns Electric, and ACCU Panels Energy.
