An Infrared – IR refrigerant leak detector is a specialized device used in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) and refrigeration industry to identify leaks in refrigerant systems. Refrigerant leaks can be harmful to the environment and can result in decreased system efficiency. Infrared leak detectors are designed to quickly and accurately detect the presence of refrigerant gases, such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), which are commonly used in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, continuously monitors indoor or outdoor ambient air for refrigerants, oxygen and toxic and combustible gases.
