Foam pigs, sometimes simply referred to as “pigs,” are a type of cleaning and maintenance tool used in pipelines. They are cylindrical devices designed to perform various tasks within pipelines, such as cleaning, inspecting, and separating different substances. Foam pigs get their name from their cylindrical shape and the foam material often used in their construction. This foam is typically encased in a durable, flexible outer layer. The foam provides buoyancy, allowing the pig to move through the pipeline propelled by the flow of the material it is cleaning or inspecting.
