Ceiling radiation dampers are specialized fire safety devices used in building HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems to protect against the spread of fire and radiant heat through ductwork, particularly in concealed spaces above ceilings.

Butterfly type ceiling dampers are mechanical devices used to control or regulate the flow of air, gases, or fluids within a duct or pipe. They consist of a flat or curved disc, often resembling the shape of a butterfly’s wings, which can be rotated about a central axis to open or close, thus adjusting the passage of the substance. Butterfly dampers are available in different sizes and shapes – square / rectangular and circular.
