Description
Boom lifts are a type of aerial work platform (AWP) that is used to provide elevated access to work areas. It consists of a platform or bucket that is attached to a hydraulic arm or boom, which is mounted on a mobile or stationary base. The boom can be rotated, extended, and elevated to provide access to difficult-to-reach areas, such as building exteriors, bridges, and utility poles.
There are different types of boom lifts, including telescopic booms, articulating booms, and trailer-mounted boom lifts. Boom lifts may be powered by electricity, diesel, gasoline, or propane, depending on the application and environment in which they will be used.
Top manufacturers of boom lifts are Snorkel, Genie Lift, JLG, Skyjack, Niftylift and Ballymore.
